There are a variety of activities which provide a wide range of learning experiences for toddlers in this light airy room. There is a book corner, a home corner, painting, sand and water play plus plenty of floor space for puzzles, toys, cars, trains etc.
Activities
Mornings are more structured and include project work, sand and water play, a range of tabletop activities and Story Time. After lunch, less formal time is spent on movement and music, walks, singing, games and free play. The children’s work is displayed on the bright and colourful boards around the room.
Daily Records
Daily records are kept for each child capturing the activities of the day. The records are available for parents at home time.
Personal Responsibility
We start toilet training with the toddlers and when they are ready, the children are encouraged to use the toilet under supervision. They clean their teeth themselves and start to learn to be responsible for their own hygiene.
